Our Club
2014 marks the 21st anniversary of the Gold Coast Sportdog Club.
It was founded in September 1993 by a core group, three of whom are still members today. Prior to its formation, the group were members of the Albert & District Dog Training Club.
The Gold Coast Sportdog Club held its first trial on December 18, 1993, when it was then a member of AUSC (Australian United Schutzhund Clubs).
The club hosted the first AUSC nationals in 2002 with Canadian judge Lance Collins.
In 2006, the club left AUSC to help form WGSA (Working German Shepherds Australia) which went on to become Schutzhund Australia (SA) as it is known today.
